The S&P/ASX 200 Index fell 2.5 percent to halt an incredible four-day winning run after banks and travel-related stocks took the hit.
The Banking blue chips bore most of the slump as Westpac (ASX:WBC) and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) both tumbled3.5 percent, ANZ (ASX:ANZ) fell 3.1 percent and Commonwealth Bank (ASX:CBA) retreated 2.3 per cent.
Travel and airlines stocks were humbled after recent recoveries as COVID-19 cases began to re-emerge in cities that lifted lockdown and travel bans. National carrier Qantas (ASX:QAN) announced its capital needs to raise AUD 1.9 billion while laying off 6,000 workers and grounding 100 aircrafts highlighted the challenges that this sector faces to return to norm.
Flight Centre (ASX:FLT) tumbled 11 percent, Webjet (ASX:WEB) declined 8.6 percent and Corporate Travel (ASX:CTD) closed 8 percent lower to reflect the gloomy trading day for Travel.
Energy stocks were also caught out after Brent crude prices fell 5 percent overnight leading Oil Search to plunge 7 percent andWoodside (ASX:WPL) to fall 4.2 percent on Thursday.
Volt Resources Ltd (ASX:VRC)
Junior graphite and gold explorer VRC skyrocketed 35 percent after delivering good announcements of 10.2 million tonnes at 2.6 grams per tonne of gold for 851,000 ounces of gold at its Luiri Hill Gold Project in Zambia. (Source: The Market Herald)
Redbubble Ltd (ASX:RBL)
E-commerce platform RBL traded 25.5 percent after reporting higher revenue growth in the June quarter to-date of 96 percent (adjusted for currency fluctuations). Online sales has been on the rise ever since the COVID-19 outbreak. Core earnings for the 11 months to 31 May came in at AUD 11.9m which translated to a gain of 86 percent on a constant currency basis. (Source: Stockhead)

Queensland-focused coal company WEC soared 23.6 percent today. White Energy is the exclusive worldwide licensee of a patented technology which upgrades high moisture, low value sub-bituminous and lignite coals through a low cost process of dehydration and compaction. The S&P/ASX 200 Index slid 0.7 percent as major banks fell short across the board.
Banks had a poor showing as National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) retreated 1.5 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) fell 1.4 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) lost 1.3 percent and Commonwealth Bank of Australia tzip(ASX:CBA) dipped 1.1 percent.
Elsewhere, Biopharmaceutical giant CSL (ASX:CSL) recovered slightly at 0.4 percent, Wesfarmers improved marginally at 0.3 percent but BHP Group (ASX:BHP) fell further from Tuesday’s decline at 0.8 percent. Telco giant Telstra (ASX:TLS) plunged 3.3 percent.
Zip Co Ltd (ASX:Z1P) eCommerce giant Z1P surged 27.5 percent after announcing its Zip Business partnership with eBay Australia.
Buddy Technologies Ltd (ASX:BUD) Innovative smart bulb and home tech company BUD continues its ascend at 23.4 percent after receiving its largest purchase order last week of approximately AUD 4.3 million, beating the previous record set in April of AUD 3.8 million.
Consolidated Operations Group (ASX:COG) Australia’s largest equipment finance broking company COG is up 15 percent today. They are a full-service provider of core financial, information technology, human resources, and organizational strategy / management consulting services to mid-sized Architecture, Engineering, Legal, and project-based management firms.
Fleetwood Corp Ltd (ASX:FWD) Recreational vehicles and accommodation solutions provider FWD rose 14.7 percent today after releasing its full FY20 results. Revenue is up 5% with EBITDA rising 11%.
Bigtincan Holdings Ltd (ASX:BTH) Sales enablement software provider jumped 14.3 percent after impressive FY20 numbers reported earlier today. Revenue was up 56% with organic growth of 38%. ARR was up 53% YoY.

The S&P/ASX200 Index made small gains as it moved up 0.5 percent on Tuesday as Financials, particularly Banks, lifted the index to near five-month high.
Banks rallied on Tuesday as Westpac (ASX:WBC) ascended 4.3 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) followed closely at 4.2 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) rose 3.2 percent, and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) firmed 2.2 percent.
Elsewhere, Biopharmaceutical giant CSL (ASX:CSL) retreated 1.8 percent, Wesfarmers fell 1.7 percent and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dropped 0.7 percent with BNPL star Afterpay (ASX:APT) rising 11.8 percent.
NZME Ltd (ASX:NZM) New Zealand’s premier integrated media company NZM soared 45.5 percent after seeing half-year profits amidst the COVID-19 pandemic with EBITDA rising 5 percent to NZD 28.9 million.
Starpharma Holdings Ltd (ASX:SPL) World leader in the development of dendrimer products for pharmaceutical, life science and other applications, SPL surged 23.3 percent after announcing updates on its COVID-19 nasal spray that uses antiviral dendrimer SPL7013.
Genetic Technologies Ltd (ASX:GTG) A leader in the development and commercialisation of genetic risk assessment technology, GTG rose 22.2 percent as its has gained over 100% in share price appreciation over the last 12 months.

The S&P/ASX200 Index finished 0.3 percent higher as BNPL giant Afterpay (ASX:APT) ended at record-high.
Financials continues to show weakness from Friday’s session as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) slid 1 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) fell 0.9 percent, Westpac Banking Corp (ASX:WBC) dipped 0.7 percent and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) dropped 0.6 percent.
Mining resources bounced back strongly as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) improved a massive 3.2 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) recovered 0.6 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) closed 0.2 percent higher but Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) fell 0.2 percent.
Elsewhere, industrial valve manufacturer Reliance Worldwide (ASX:RWC) surged 17.8 percent with out-of-home advertiser oOh!Media (ASX:OML) not far behind at 17.5 percent higher — both finishing in the top 10 of our chart today.
Yojee Ltd (ASX:YOJ) Cloud-based logistics platform provider YOJ soared 40 percent after agreement to work with GEODIS Singapore to extend its reach across the Lion City, Malaysia and Thailand
