Thursday’s Top 10 Companies On The ASX

The S&P/ASX 200 Index recovered 0.7 percent to record a two-day winning streak.

Iron ore giants led the gains as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) jumped 4.2 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) rallied 1.4 percent and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) grew 1 percent.

Elsewhere, supermarket conglomerate Coles Group (ASX:COL) rose 1.5 percent to record-high price, Biopharma giant CSL gained 1.5 percent while bulge bracket banker Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) rose 0.8 percent.

Major gold miners bucked the trend as Saracen Mineral Holdings (ASX:SAR) plunged 1.6 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) lost 0.9 percent and Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) fell 0.8 percent.

Citigold Corporation (ASX:CTO)
Gold miner CTO skyrocketed 66.7 percent today to take the top spot. CTO forecasts high profits from its investment in the 11 million ounce high quality 14 g/t gold deposit. CTO is a growth company with mining experience at Charters Towers. CTO substantial investment to date is supported by technical research, analysis and financial evaluation.

Elsight (ASX:ELS)
Halo communication platform provider ELS surged 63.3 percent after announcing today that it is entering a strategic partnership with Kinetx Prime to deliver direct-to-consumer telehealth services in the US (Source: The Market Herald)

Ava Risk Group (ASX:AVA)
Security risk management company AVA soared 45.7 percent. Last Thursday, AVA services division “AVA Global” surpassed past quarterly and full-year financial results

Firstwave Cloud Technology (ASX:FCT)
Cloud security tech firm FCT jumped 28 percent after announcing that 20-year veteran and ex-Cisco CTO Kevin Bloch is taking the consulting roles at FCT, sending shockwaves into the market.

ikeGPS Group (ASX:IKE)
Dual-listed power pole data solutions firm IKE rose 24.2 percent to squeeze into the top 5 today. IKE announced today that four Oz-based institution investors have been registered on its shareholders list, which includes Regal Funds Management, Ellerston Capital, OC Funds and Washington H. Soul Pattinson.
