10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 14 October 2020

The S&P/ASX200 Index halted its winning streak to lose 0.3 percent at mid-week as banks and commodity stocks dragged the index.

Major banks were in the red as Westpac (ASX:WBC) retreated 1.4 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) fell 1.3 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) both lost 1 percent. Only Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) traded 0.2 percent higher.

Iron ore miners were laggards as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) dived 1.4 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) dumped 1.3 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) trailed 0.7 percent and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dipped 0.8 percent.

BNPL sector finished mixed as Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) plunged 4.1 percent, Sezzle (AX:SZL) crashed 1.3 and Splitit (ASX:SPT) slid 0.7 percent. Meanwhile, Afterpay (ASX:APT) jumped 1.7 percent and Openpay Group (ASX:OPY) firmed 0.3 percent.

Dual-listed power pole data solutions firm IKE soared 22.4 percent after being awarded a contract with one of USA’s largest utilities companies to implement its IKE Analyze platform.

Castile Resources Limited (ASX:CST)
Oz-based gold and copper-zine-silver explorer rose 20.6 percent after announcing a stunning gold intercept from its flagship Rover 1 project located at the township of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.

Estrella Resources Limited (ASX:ESR)
WA-based gold and nickel explorer continues its impressive run to jump 20.5 percent after a significant massive nickel sulphide discovery at its Carr Boyd project last week.

Azure Minerals Limited (ASX:AZS)
WA- and Mexico-based AZS finished 19.7 percent higher after appointing Mr. Wayne Bramwellhas as a non-executive director of the Company. Mr Bramwell (BSc (Extractive Metallurgy), Grad Dip Bus, MSc (Min. Econ), GAICD) is a metallurgist with over 29 years of International and Australian project evaluation, development and operations expertise across the base metals, precious metals and bulk commodity sectors. He is currently the Group Business Manager for the Creasy Group and a non-executive director of ASX listed gold producer Westgold Resources Limited.

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 20 October 2020

The S&P/ASX200 Index finished lower by 0.7 percent on Tuesday as certainty in the US presidential elections compounded with rising cases of COVID-19 in Europe.

Banks were a drag on the index as Westpac (ASX:WBC) plunged 1.4 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) succumbed 1.2 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) retreated 1.1 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) lost 1 percent and Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) finished 0.9 percent lower.

Iron ore miners showed weakness as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dived 1.6 percent and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) threw away 1.5 percent. Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) and Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) both rose 0.6 percent, however.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector were mostly positive as Afterpay (ASX:APT) jumped 4.5 percent, Openpay (ASX:OPY) registered 4.4 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) gained 2.7 percent while Sezzle (ASX:SZL) fell 0.9 percent and Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) slid 1.4 percent.

Top 10 Performing ASX Companies Today With Market Cap Above AUD 50M

Sunland Group Limited (ASX:SDG)
Queensland-based real estate developer SGD skyrocketed 46.6 percent after announcing a strategic plan after review with its board of directors which comprises of a sale of inventory and completion of certain projects.

GBM Resources Limited (ASX:GBZ)
Gold and copper focused explorer GBZ surged 36.7 percent after Monday’s strategic acquisition of Yandan Gold Project and conditional placement to raise AUD 5.4 million.

Weebit Nano Limited (ASX:WBT)
Israeli-founded nano tech company WBT soared 22.5 percent having recently completed its stabilisation process for its ReRAM tech.

Supply Network Limited (ASX:SNL)
Oz and NZ-based commercial vehicle aftermarket parts provider SNL jumped 22 percent given its fundamentals are looking strong at this stage – with industry-average of 14 percent net income growth and a staggering 23 percent ROE given the industry average is only 6.3 percent.

8VI Holdings Limited (ASX:8VI)
Singapore-based financial educator that provides a smart stock analysis and screening tool, 8VI rose 20.6 percent. 8VI has a decent ROE of 15 percent given the market average of 9.1 percent although 5-year earnings has tanked 40 percent.

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 19 October 2020

The S&P/ASX200 Index ended 0.8 percent to close at its highest since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Banks were in healthy territory as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) rose 1.1 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) surged 1 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) gained 0.9 percent and Westpac Banking Corp (ASX:WBC) firmed 0.6 percent.

Iron ore miners mostly saw green as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) grew 1.1 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) unearthed 0.9 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) climbed 0.7 percent and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) traded 0.1 percent higher.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ performed mixed as Zip Co (ASX:Z1p) surged 2.1 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) added 0.9 percent but Sezzle (ASX:SZL) fell 0.8 percent and Splitit (ASX:SPT) dipped 0.3 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index recovered 0.5 percent as financials and commodities stocks pushed up the index.

Banks had a good run as Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) surged 1.1 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) finished 0.9 percent higher, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) advanced 0.7 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) climbed 0.4 percent and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) grew 0.3 percent.

Iron ore producers carried the index as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) jumped 2.1 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) rose 1.4 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) firmed 1 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector was in deep red as Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) plunged 7.5 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) plummeted 6.7 percent, OpenPay (ASX:OPY) retreated 3.3 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) lost 2.6 percent and Afterpay (ASX:APT) descended 1.1 percent.
