10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 26 Feb 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index fell 2.4 percent to finish 1.8 percent lower for the week.

Banks
were in the red as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) plunged 2.6 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) both slashed 2.2 percent,
Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) both crashed 2 percent.
 
Iron ore producers
were hard hit as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) nosedived 4.5 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dumped 2.6, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) retreated 1.3 percent and Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) dipped 0.2 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’
sector were the biggest losers as Afterpay (ASX:APT) decimated 11 percent, Openpay (ASX:OPY) slid 5.5 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) flipped 5 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) declined 3.8 percent and Sezzle (ASX:SZL) closed 2.9 percent lower.

  5. Piedmont Lithium Limited (ASX:PLL) +12.2 percent
  6. Burgundy Diamond Mines Limited (ASX:BDM) +11.1 percent

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 25 Feb 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index rose 0.8 percent as most sectors recovered from Wednesday’s slump, particularly in mining and energy stocks.

Banks were largely positive as Westpac (ASX:WBC) climbed 1.3 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) added 1.1 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) notched 1 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) firmed 0.5 percent while Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) pegged back 1.1 percent.

Iron ore producers were mostly victorious as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) soared 3.3 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) surged 3.1 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) unearthed 1.9 percent while Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) dumped 2.5 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector was mostly below par as Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) crashed 7.7 percent, OpenPay (ASX:OPY) plunged 3.7 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) fizzled 0.4 percent while Splitit (ASX:SPT) advanced 2.2 percent. Afterpay (ASX:APT) traded flat.

Iron ore producers finished disappointingly as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) slashed 3.1 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) dumped 2.7 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) declined 1.4 percent and Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) slipped 0.6 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector was in bloodbath as Splitit (ASX:SPT) plunged 6.5 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) descended 4.9 percent, OpenPay (ASX:OPY) expelled 3.2 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) dropped 3 percent and Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) ended 0.8 percent lower.
