10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 19 Mar 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index retreated 0.7 percent on Friday but gained 0.6 percent over the course of the week despite three losing days.

Banks finished mixed as Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) declined 1.7 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) retreated 1.2 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) dipped 0.3 percent while Australia New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) and Westpac (ASX:WBC) both added 0.3 percent.
 
Iron ore producers
were in the red as Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) plunged 3.4 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dumped 1.7 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) slashed 1.6 percent and Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) crashed 1.4 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’
sector were split as Sezzle (ASX:SZL) soared 5.1 percent, Openpay (ASX:OPY) jumped 3.5 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) traded flat while Afterpay (ASX:APT) dived 2.4 percent and Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) ditched 2.1 percent.

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 18 Mar 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index pegged back 0.7 percent as most sectors fell, particularly Healthcare and Real Estate.

Banks were in the red as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) slid 1.6 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) and Westpac (ASX:WBC) both lost 0.9 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) fell 0.8 percent while Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) ended 0.1 percent higher.

Iron ore producers were mostly below par as Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) dumped 0.9 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) ditched 0.8 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) retreated 0.5 percent while Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) gained 3.7 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector was winless as Splitit (ASX:SPT) slashed 5.6 percent, OpenPay (ASX:OPY) plunged 4.1 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) and Sezzle (ASX:SZL) both declined 1.8 percent and Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) shed 1.4 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 pulled back 0.5 percent on Wednesday as miners and energy producers fell heavily.

Banks were mostly in the red as Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) shed 0.7 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) slid 0.2 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) slid 0.1 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) traded flat while Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) grew 0.2 percent.

Iron ore producers endured a difficult trading day as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dumped 1.6 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) slashed 1 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) ditched 0.9 percent and Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) cut 0.6 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index boosted 0.8 percent as most sectors particularly technology and healthcare lifted the index.

Major banks finished the trading session strongly as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) and Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) both rose 0.9 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) and Westpac (ASX:WBC) both firmed 0.6 percent and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) added 0.4 percent.

Iron ore producers finished split as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) unearthed 0.7 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) notched 0.2 percent while BHP Group (ASX:BHP) lost 2.2 percent and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) retreated 1.1 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector ended victoriously as Sezzle (ASX:SZL) leaped 3.9 percent, Openpay (ASX:OPY) jumped 3.8 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) and Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) both surged 3.1 percent and Splitit (ASX:SPT) ended 2.5 percent higher.
