10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 1 June 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index dipped 0.3 percent as only Mining and Energy sectors were in the green.

Major banks put a drag as Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) downed 1.4 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) retreated 1 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) and Westpac (ASX:WBC) both lost 0.8 percent and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) lost 0.3 percent.

Iron ore producers strengthened as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) charged 1.7 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) lifted 0.7 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) both added 0.1 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector was split as Sezzle (ASX:SZL) surged 2.9 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) lifted 0.8 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) grew 0.2 percent while Openpay (ASX:OPY) nosedived 4.5 percent and Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) slid 0.7 percent.

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 31 May 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index dipped 0.2 percent as major banks put a drag on the index.

Major banks fell behind as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) dumped 0.8 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) both retreated 0.5 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) ditched 0.4 percent and Westpac (ASX:WBC) lost 0.2 percent.

Iron ore producers were mostly up as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) charged 1.4 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) grew 0.7 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) lifted 0.6 percent while BHP Group (ASX:BHP) pegged back 0.6 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector mostly ended lower as Openpay (ASX:OPY) plummeted 5.7 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) slashed 4.6 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) slid 2.1 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) dived 1.2 percent while Sezzle (ASX:SZL) notched 0.7 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index jumped 2.1 percent as all sectors, except Utilities, ended strongly on Friday.

Major banks finished higher as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) rose 1.6 percent, , National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) and Westpac (ASX:WBC) both advanced 1.4 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) added 1.1 percent and Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) edged 0.5 percent.

Iron ore producers were mostly stronger as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) soared 2.9 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) surged 2.6 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) unearthed 1 percent while Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) shed 0.7 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index traded flat as major Miners offset the loss from the Utilities sector.

Major banks ended disappointly as Westpac (ASX:WBC) retreated 0.7 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) both shed 0.6 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) dipped 0.4 percent while and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) edged 0.1 percent.

Iron ore producers mostly strengthened as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) soared 4.9 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) both rose 1percent while Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) dumped 3.3 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector ended strongly as Splitit (ASX:SPT) surged 3.9 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) and Afterpay (ASX:APT) both jumped 1.6 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) added 1.5 percent while Openpay (ASX:OPY) plummeted 3.4 percent.
