Wednesday’s Winners – Top 10 ASX Companies

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 16 June 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index notched 0.1 percent as Energy sector lifted the index.

Major banks finished well as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) charged 1.3 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) rose 0.9 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) both grew 0.7 percent while Westpac (ASX:WBC) flatlined.

Iron ore producers saw red as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) slashed 1.7 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) crashed 1.6 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) retreated 1.3 percent and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) lost 0.6 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector ended lower as Openpay (ASX:OPY) plunged 2.6 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) and Sezzle (ASX:SZL) both dived 2.4 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) dipped 0.4 percent while Afterpay (ASX:APT) traded flat.

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 15 June 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index boosted 0.9 percent as all sectors finished higher on Tuesday.

Major banks charged ahead as and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) climbed 2.1 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) and Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) both lifted 1.5 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) added 1 percent and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) grew 0.8 percent.

Iron ore producers strengthened mostly as Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) unearthed 1.2 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) charged 0.6 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) edged 0.5 percent while Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) dumped 1.9 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector ended split as Afterpay (ASX:APT) surged 2.1 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) soared 1.8 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) traded flat while Sezzle (ASX:SZL) nosedived 5.2 percent and Openpay (ASX:OPY) shed 1.9 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index edged 0.1 percent as Technology sector charged 7 percent for the week.

Major banks fell flat as Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) plunged 1.5 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) dumped 1.1 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) both slid 0.6 and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) retreated 0.5 percent.

Iron ore producers strengthened as Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) jumped 3.1 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) climbed 1.7 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) notched 1.3 percent and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) traded flat.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector flourished as Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) soared 4.1 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) surged 3.7 percent, Openpay (ASX:OPY) lifted 2.3 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) gained 0.8 percent and Sezzle (ASX:SZL) finished 0.4 percent higher.

The S&P/ASX200 Index lifted 0.4 percent as Real Estate and Technology sectors boosted the index.

Major banks recovered from the mid-week slump as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) advanced 0.8 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) rose 0.7 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) and Westpac (ASX:WBC) both edged 0.2 percent while Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) dipped 0.1 percent.

Iron ore producers ended fairly well as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) climbed 0.8 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) notched 0.1 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) flatlined while BHP Group (ASX:BHP) retreated 0.8 percent.
