10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 9 Nov 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index dipped 0.2 percent as all sectors fell except Tech, Materials and Healthcare.

Major banks saw red as Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) dumped 1.6 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) crashed 1.4 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) slid 1.2 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) cut 0.8 percent and Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) ditched 0.4 percent.

Iron ore producers were split as Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) dived 1.6 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) shed 02 percent while and Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) soared 1.8 percent and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) rose 1 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector recovered overall as Afterpay (ASX:APT) surged 2.4 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) jumped 1.8 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) lifted 1.5 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) traded flat while Openpay (ASX:OPY) slid 0.8 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index shed 0.1 percent as the major sectors ended mixed – with Energy notching 2 percent and Tech losing 1.7 percent.

Major banks were split as Westpac (ASX:WBC) jumped 1.3 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) gained 0.6 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) lifted 0.4 percent while Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) dumped 1.6 percent and Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) ditched 0.8 percent.

Iron ore producers ended stronger as Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) soared 1.2 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) rose 0.8 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) and Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) both advanced 0.4 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector finished poorly as Splitit (ASX:SPT) nosedived 4.2 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) crashed 3.2 percent, Openpay (ASX:OPY) slid 1.2 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) buried 1.1 percent and Afterpay (ASX:APT) dipped 0.6 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index ended strongly to the week, notching 0.4 percent on Friday.

Major banks were higher overall as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) surged 1.1 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) gained 0.8 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) charged 0.3 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) lifted 0.2 percent while Westpac (ASX:WBC) crashed 2.8 percent.

Iron ore producers ended stronger as Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) jumped 3.6 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) and Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) both advanced 0.6 percent and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) edged 0.2 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector had a mix bag as Afterpay (ASX:APT) dived 5.5 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) dipped 0.6 percent while Splitit (ASX:SPT) soared 4.4 percent, Openpay (ASX:OPY) ascended 0.8 percent and Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) traded flat.

Major banks recovered well as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) surged 1.4 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) jumped 1.3 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) charged 0.9 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) gained 0.4 percent and Westpac (ASX:WBC) edged 0.2 percent.

Iron ore producers were split as Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) plunged 1.5 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) crashed 1.4 percent while Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) added 0.4 percent and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) rose 0.3 percent.
