10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 8 Dec 2021
The S&P/ASX200 Index notched 1.3 percent as the market recovers steadily over last week’s slump.
Major banks moved higher as Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) climbed 1.3 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) lifted 1 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) rose 0.7 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) added 0.6 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) edged 0.3 percent.
Iron ore producers were in the green as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) jumped 3.3 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) advanced 2.2 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) charged 1.9 percent and Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) scored 0.9 percent.
‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector ended spectacularly as Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) skyrocketed 10.9 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) soared 6.5 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) surged 4.2 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) scored 2 percent and Openpay (ASX:OPY) finished 1 percent higher.
