Major banks continues to impress as Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) charged 0.6 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) lifted 0.5 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) added 0.2 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) gained 0.1 percent while Westpac (ASX:WBC) dipped 0.2 percent.
Iron ore producers reversed all gains as Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) dumped 2.8 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) retreated 1.6 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) fell 1.1 percent and Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) cut 0.2 percent.
‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sectors finished mixed again as Sezzle (ASX:SZL) plummeted 4.8 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) plunged 3.6 percent while Splitit (ASX:SPT) skyrocketed 17.9 percent, Block (ASX:SQ2) rose 2.5 percent and Openpay (ASX:OPY) traded flat.

Iron ore producers mostly saw red as Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) slid 1.1 percent,BHP Group (ASX:BHP) ditched 0.8 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) cut 0.7 percent while Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) edged 0.1 percent.
