10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 17 May 2022

The S&P/ASX200 Index notched 0.2 percent as Industrials and Tech climbed over 2 percent.

Major banks had a solid session as Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) jumped 1.7 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) added 0.5 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) rose 0.3 percent and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) edged 0.1 percent.

Iron ore producers finished strongly as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) charged 2.3 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) lifted 2.2 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) ascended 0.6 percent and Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) unearthed 0.5 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector saw red as Sezzle (ASX:SZL) dumped 8.7 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) crashed 5.5 percent, Block (ASX:SQ2) slid 3.3 percent, Zip Co (ASX:ZIP) buried 3.2 percent and Openpay (ASX:OPY) ditched 1.6 percent.

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 13 May 2022

The S&P/ASX200 Index rebounded 1.9 percent as there was sector-wide rally on Friday.

Major banks recovered well as Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) climbed 4.5 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) added 1 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) and Westpac (ASX:WBC) both notched 0.9 percent and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) edged 0.1 percent.

Iron ore producers ended higher overall as Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) charged 2.1 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) both lifted 2 percent while Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) slipped 0.5 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector bounced back impressively as Block (ASX:SQ2) skyrocketed 15 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) surged 8 percent, Zip Co (ASX:ZIP) soared 5.9 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) rose 2.9 percent while Openpay (ASX:OPY) fell 3.1 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index plunged 1.9 percent as Tech plummeted 8.7 percent amidst sell off in every sector.

Major banks fell mostly as Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) crashed 3.8 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) retreated 1.9 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) lost 0.9 percent while National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) rebounded 1 percent and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) edged 0.6 percent.

Iron ore producers reversed all gains as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) dumped 2.8 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) buried 2.1 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dived 1.6 percent and Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) slipped 0.6 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector was in freefall as Block (ASX:SQ2) nosedived 17.6 percent, Splitit (ASX:SPT) slid 12.3 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) ditched 10.4 percent, Zip Co (ASX:ZIP) cut 6.5 percent while Openpay (ASX:OPY) lifted 3.2 percent.

Major banks fell again as National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) crashed 3.9 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) dumped 1.6 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) cut 1.5 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) dipped 0.2 percent while Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) rebounded 1.2 percent.
