10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 14 October 2020

The S&P/ASX200 Index halted its winning streak to lose 0.3 percent at mid-week as banks and commodity stocks dragged the index.

Major banks were in the red as Westpac (ASX:WBC) retreated 1.4 percent, National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) fell 1.3 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) both lost 1 percent. Only Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) traded 0.2 percent higher.

Iron ore miners were laggards as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) dived 1.4 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) dumped 1.3 percent, Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) trailed 0.7 percent and BHP Group (ASX:BHP) dipped 0.8 percent.

BNPL sector finished mixed as Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) plunged 4.1 percent, Sezzle (AX:SZL) crashed 1.3 and Splitit (ASX:SPT) slid 0.7 percent. Meanwhile, Afterpay (ASX:APT) jumped 1.7 percent and Openpay Group (ASX:OPY) firmed 0.3 percent.

ikeGPS Group Limited (ASX:IKE)
Dual-listed power pole data solutions firm IKE soared 22.4 percent after being awarded a contract with one of USA’s largest utilities companies to implement its IKE Analyze platform.

Castile Resources Limited (ASX:CST)
Oz-based gold and copper-zine-silver explorer rose 20.6 percent after announcing a stunning gold intercept from its flagship Rover 1 project located at the township of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.

Estrella Resources Limited (ASX:ESR)
WA-based gold and nickel explorer continues its impressive run to jump 20.5 percent after a significant massive nickel sulphide discovery at its Carr Boyd project last week.

Azure Minerals Limited (ASX:AZS)
WA- and Mexico-based AZS finished 19.7 percent higher after appointing Mr. Wayne Bramwellhas as a non-executive director of the Company. Mr Bramwell (BSc (Extractive Metallurgy), Grad Dip Bus, MSc (Min. Econ), GAICD) is a metallurgist with over 29 years of International and Australian project evaluation, development and operations expertise across the base metals, precious metals and bulk commodity sectors. He is currently the Group Business Manager for the Creasy Group and a non-executive director of ASX listed gold producer Westgold Resources Limited.

10 ASX Companies That Performed On Top Today - 24 Sep 2021

The S&P/ASX200 Index dipped 0.4 percent on Friday to halt a mid-week revival.

Major banks improved further as National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) boosted 1 percent, Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) both added 0.9 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) lifted 0.7 percent and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) edged 0.1 percent.

Iron ore producers lost some ground as Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) crashed 2.5 percent, BHP Group (ASX:BHP) slid 1.7 percent, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) dumped 1.2 percent while Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) notched 0.5 percent.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector went up mostly as Openpay (ASX:OPY) surged 4.7 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) soared 2.9 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) charged 2.3 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) rose 0.4 percent while Splitit (ASX:SPT) nosedived 7.6 percent.

The S&P/ASX200 Index rose 1 percent on Thursday as the index steadily recovers from Monday’s sharp fall.

Major banks recovered healthily as Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) jumped 2.6 percent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) climbed 1.2 percent, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX:ANZ) advanced 1.1 percent, Westpac (ASX:WBC) and National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) both notched 0.6 percent.

Iron ore producers improved overall as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) snapped 1 percent, Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) charged 0.6 percent while BHP Group (ASX:BHP) shed 0.7 percent and Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) traded flat.

‘Buy-now, pay-later’ sector extended its winning streak as Splitit (ASX:SPT) skyrocketed 10.8 percent, Sezzle (ASX:SZL) surged 5.7 percent, Zip Co (ASX:Z1P) soared 4.9 percent, Afterpay (ASX:APT) leaped 4.2 percent and Openpay (ASX:OPY) edged 0.4 percent.
